Educational Experience

I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of WI-Milwaukee, and my first Masters of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management from Ottawa University in 2010 and my second Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling in May 2023. I obtained my Licensed Professional Counselor - In-Training (LPC-IT) in August 2023 and am currently operating as a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) which was conferred to me by the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services in April 2026.

Area of Specialty

There are a few populations that I have the privilege of specializing in: LGBTQ+ and gender affirming care, sex and couples therapy, major life transitions, substance and compulsion-driven support and recovery, sex offender rehabilitation and certified brain spotting therapist.  

Professional Affiliations

As part of my work as a licensed therapist, there are a variety of professional organizations that I belong to and support. In February 2021, I joined the American Counseling Association and the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender-Expansive Identified (SAIGE). In June of 2021, I joined the Human Rights Campaign. In May of 2022, I joined the National LGBTQ Task Force. In July of 2022, I joined the World Professional Association for Transgender Healthcare (WPATH). Most recently, I have joined the Drug Policy Alliance in September of 2023. 

Professional Designations

Since leaving Ottawa University, I have pursued a number of designations. The first (as highlighted on this website) is through Brainspotting Trainings, LLC as a Certified Brainspotting Therapist.
Through Evergreen Certifications programs, I have also historically achieved my designation of Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP). Through the same program, I have also completed all of the coursework necessary to obtain my Certified Personality Disorder Treatment Provider (C-PD) and my Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP). I am also currently in progress of completing my coursework for Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy Practitioner (C-DBT).
